Say goodbye to salamence

Smogon has recently moved Salamence to the Uber tier, meaning that it can no longer be used in standard play, what do you guys think of this?

Stupid. That's all I'll say about it.

that's just stupid, i really liked salamence, i have it in my gym team too

I say good riddance that thing was broken it was guaranteed if not promised to net one kill. It's stats placement was crazy good and the movepool was so diversed being able to run physical, special, and mix sets.

now i have to redo my gym team, since it had salamence

I don't really care, since I don't battle competitively.

true, if i had to change pokemon i would have to have kingdra, cuz i need at least 3 dragons, and kingdra is the only other non-uber dragon i can think of, (apart from altaria)

Well you'll be able to keep Salamence. Smogon is stupid, they aren't the official tiers.

So true... and I don't like how they categorize Pokemon on how often they're used instead of how strong or useful they actually are.

a couple of things to note:

There are no official tiers, as the Pokémon tiers are not created by the Pokémon Company or Nintendo, because we play in the competitive battling meta game of Pokémon, we use the closest thing to "official" tiers that we have, and those are the ones created by Smogon. Also, at SC, they are named after how often they are used, but they are actually how powerful they are, to confirm that, Smeargle is OU, whereas Charizard is NU. Also, in case SS (the other main Salamence user besides me that i know of), and the rest of you were wondering, Salamence was brought to Ubers because he was the most powerful Pokémon in OU, and people thought he was unfair, as his insane attack easily destroyed any strategy you may have had, as well as half of your team, and Infernhawk, he can't use Salamence on shoddy gym battles anymore, because he is banned from standard play. I hope that Salamence may find his way back into OU in a couple of months when B/W come out

so then i will have to replace salamence, for either kingdra or altaria since i need another dragon pokemon in my gym team

also, note: i'm not the only person here to replace their salamence
