Random Pokemon Cries in Gen III

Have you ever noticed when you're playing RSE or FRLG, that in routes, caves, etc. there are random Pokemon cries? I never even knew they existed before I heard about them on Marriland. I have heard quite a few in the hack I'm playing.

the whole cries thing was in all GEN 3 games, sometimes it's of the wild pokemon in the area

I think its kinda neat. It makes it seem more realistic.
