you know the frontier brains in HGSS the music when you battle them is similar (NOT THE SAME) to the music played in platinum

it didnt matter for me i mean i got enrie and rakiou before i beat morty inHG i xought them both in fast balls, then later i got suicune in a poeball

also in platinum was the only way you can get tangela and tropius in the wild, in sinnoh, until HGSS were released then you can get tangela in the wild, and tropius via pokewalker

actually come to think of it, when you first arrive in kanto, there are 4 gyms you can visit without having to go through sidequests - vermilion, fuschia, saffron and celedon

They didn't want to make Gym Leaders stronger than the Elite 4, so thats why Kanto Gym Leaders are weak.
